The Bottom Bucket has a maximum diameter of 5 inches which will accommodate a 6", 8", and 10" hole.

 

 

[The Bottom Bucket will be anchored to float approximately 16 inches below the bottom of the ice.  Care should also be taken not to let the auger drop all the way to its full depth after penetrating the bottom of the ice.

 

The rope does not hang down the hole.  The rope is tied to an anchor then to the bottom of the Bottom Bucket. The anchor is then placed on the lake bottom.  The Bottom Bucket is free floating held in place by the anchor. 

 

The Bottom Buckets shape and positive buoyancy allows it to stay in place under your hole even where there is some current. 

 

Nothing.  The Bottom Bucket does not rely on a rope or chain coming down through the hole in your ice house.  The Bottom Bucket floats and is anchored to the bottom of the lake.  Just re-drill your hole and reach down with a hook and retrieve your bait. 

 

No. You can use any weight that is between 4 to 5 pounds.  Some of examples our customers are using are a brick, rock, and old window weights.  You can also use your gaff hook for the retrieval tool.
